The standard and its steward
The Open Workplace Health Standard is stewarded under its own published governance, with the steward's conflict of interest stated there in plain terms. The specification, schemas, code lists and registry are published under licences that are permissive and irrevocable, so that anyone may take the whole of it and continue it. The move to multi-stakeholder governance is set out on the governance page and is gated on evidence of independent use.
Trade mark
OWHS is a trade mark of All Toogether Ltd (UK application pending). The mark identifies the source of the standard; it places no restriction on using, implementing, mapping to or criticising the standard, and conformance claims are governed by the specification, not by the mark.
Licences
- Specification prose and guidance: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
- Schemas, code lists, examples, dataset structure and tooling: Apache License 2.0.
- Third-party instrument and survey-item wording is never ours to license. It remains with its source under the terms recorded on each item.
What the registry is, and is not
The instrument registry and question bank describe published evidence and record its provenance. They are not clinical, occupational-health, legal or professional advice, and a grade is not a recommendation. Anyone selecting an instrument remains responsible for that choice and for the context in which it is used. Both licences above exclude warranties; the content is provided as it stands, and corrections of factual errors take priority over all other work through the corrections process.
